There are plenty of shops in the town of Carvoeiro for your everyday needs. Also there is also a big Supermarket on the Lagoa road just outside of Carvoeiro for even more choice.

Praia do Carvoeiro is a beautifully sheltered beach which spreads out just in front of the square. Also the beach has cliffs protecting it on either side. There is also many bars and cafes around the square where you can also enjoy the views of the beach.

Twice a week the tourist train moves around Carvoeiro and ventures a little further and heads to Ferragudo. Feragudo is located just along the coast on the opposite bank of the Arade estuary to Portim√£o. It gives you a couple of hours to explore the town before bringing you back.
