Before Calpe became a tourist town, it was traditionally a city of agriculture and fishing, producing almonds and raisins, and engaged in fishing and the extraction of salt from the salt mine. The fish market dates back to antiquity. Today, the auction is one of the most attractive and most visited events in Calpe. Thanks to its warm and temperate climate, it is ideal to enjoy the Spanish lifestyle, with warm summers and mild winters. The average annual temperature is 18 degrees.
