Kadikalesi Information

Kadikalesi is a small Turkish village, unlike its more commercial neighbouring resorts it has maintained its authentic Turkish ambience and life is centred on the beach front. The village is surrounded by hills covered in citrus trees and suitable for picturesque trekking.

The name is derived from a fortress that was prominent in the village from the Ottoman Empire. The Greek church on the hills is whilst not restored still retains much of its original authenticity.

The village is a windsurfing hotspot for windsurfing novices and experienced surfers.Nightlife in Kadikalesi is all about relaxing on soft cushions enjoying the local music with good friends and traditional dining of fresh fish and seafood.

Located 4 kms from Turgutreis its nearest resort town. Here is a large selection of shops, bars and bustling restaurants and a Saturday market. There is also a marina with mooring facilities and ferry boats to the Greek Islands.

Kadikalesi is 23 kms from Bodrum town centre and its many attractions including the famous Bodrum Castle and 90 mins from Bodrum Airport.

The range of properties in Kadikalesi varies from old stone house renovation projects to modern apartments within new complexes. As the village is quite small, property prices tend to be lower than other resorts on the peninsular making it a viable proposition.
