Yes, it is safe to buy in Greece. As with any country you are perfectly safe as long as you follow the right legal processes of the country.
A good independent lawyer will ensure you safely buy your property for you to enjoy for many years. They guide you through all the steps working only in your interests.
Just be prepared for the Greek pace of doing things, definitely more relaxed compared to the UK.
